Merri River Estuary

An environmental audit of the Merri River Estuary was conducted by EPA in the period March to September 2002 at the request of the Glenelg Hopkins Catchment Management Authority. The audit examined landuses, activities and associated impacts on the beneficial uses of the estuary. Issues examined included current environmental condition of the estuary, pollutant inputs, water extractions, management and planning for the estuary and physical modifications to the Merri River. This report contains the findings and recommendations of this audit.
