| The accredited licensee system aims to achieve environmental improvements through co-operation between industry, government and the community. This is achieved through a collaborative approach where all stakeholders play a role in setting and achieving environmental goals. Companies that can demonstrate the capability and commitment to achieve good environmental performance can be freed from a prescriptive approach to works approval and licensing by applying for accreditation. These guidelines provide general advice and information to assist companies prepare an application for accreditation and maintain accreditation once granted.
